The UCaaS Tipping Point: New Customers and Growing Volumes

2014 has been a big year for Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) and for our business.

In September, CoreDial had one of its most successful months ever. New partners are signing up faster than ever, and our existing partners are way more productive than they have ever been. There are well over 10,000 small to mid-sized businesses (SMBs) on the CoreDial platform and network.

Interconnects, managed service providers (MSPs) and carriers are increasingly using our software as a service (SaaS) platform to capture new revenue opportunities with UCaaS and grow the number of end users they serve. They are recognizing what UCaaS can do for their businesses and have been successfully selling these high value, margin-rich services to their customers.

One of the things we are most proud of is that our existing and new partners are selling to increasingly larger customers and, in turn, driving higher volumes. To us, that means that our partner program is working and we are offering services that are scalable and compelling to organizations of all sizes. 

Clearly the appetite for UCaaS solutions is growing and we believe this is only going to continue. MarketsandMarkets forecasts the UCaaS market to grow from $13.10 billion in 2014 to $23.34 billion in 2019 with a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 12.2% from 2014 to 2019.

2014 hasn’t been an anomaly. It has been a tipping point for service providers delivering UCaaS and all indicators are that this is a sustainable, long-term opportunity. 

We rolled out the SwitchConnex 5.0 upgrade at the beginning of October and this release was designed to help build on the channel successes we’ve seen so far in 2014. Just as important, 5.0 will help our partners to continue to attract new customers. With new features and functionalities, the platform is more flexible than ever before and we expect this to help drive growth in our partners’ businesses.
